Parent/Guardian Involvement

It is important to maintain good communication with the Administration and classroom staff. At Queens Academy, we strive to offer a quality oriented Educational Program with excellent care to the children bearing in mind the parental anxieties and needs.

> Keeping parents informed of their children’s well being is important and is taken seriously.

> Monthly calendar of events, special activities and other pertinent information is distributed.

> Parents are welcome visitors during the day to visit and participate in our activities. Please arrange with the supervisor in advance.

> Parental participation in activities like graduation, field trips and daily activities is encouraged.

> You need to always maintain good communication with the supervisor of the centre and your child’s classroom staff. If you have any concerns about your child’s care, the supervisor is the person with whom you should talk. Be sure to share with the supervisor the things that please you as well as anything you are concerned about. If at all possible or reasonable, our teachers will work with you to carry out your special instructions.

> Parents are required to update personal information, change in address, phone number, change in employment location etc., to ensure they can be contacted on emergency matters. Your child’s safety and health may depend upon such information.

> Parents are required to notify the school if their child is not attending for any reason, to avoid unnecessary follow up. Should a child be away due to a communicable disease, a doctor’s note would be required upon return..
